Labour Party to Deploy Mobile App for Membership Drive Ahead of 2027 Elections
ABUJA – The Labour Party (LP) has announced its plan to go digital with the launch of a mobile app for membership registration. This app will enable Nigerians, both within the country and abroad, to register as party members, facilitating seamless membership validation and engagement between party members and leaders.
Key Features of the Mobile App:
- Membership Registration: Allows users to register as party members from anywhere in the world.
- Exclusive Content: Provides a platform for members to access exclusive content and participate in party activities.
- Updates and Notifications: Keeps members informed about party information and activities.
- Fundraising: Enhances the party’s fundraising efforts, allowing members to donate and support the party directly through the app.

Ambassador Aju Elumelu, Deputy Director of Media and Communications of the Labour Party Mobilization & Integration Directorate, emphasized the need for digital solutions that are easy to use, secure, and accessible on-the-go. He highlighted that the app will help members register, track their membership status, and stay informed.
Proposal Highlights:
The proposal, signed by Director General Mr. Marcel Ngogbehei and submitted to the LP National Working Committee (NWC) through National Chairman Barr. Julius Abure, outlines the transformation of the party’s operations to meet international standards.

Barr. Julius Abure expressed satisfaction with the initiative, stating that the app will enhance the party’s chances in the 2027 elections. He noted that the app will provide real-time membership data, aiding in planning and decision-making.
