Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, the former president, criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration Wednesday for its shoddy handling of the withdrawal of fuel subsidies, the flotation of the naira, and the military takeover in the Niger Republic.
He claimed that although the government’s forex strategy and the elimination of subsidies were beneficial, they were inadequately implemented.
At the Paul Aje Colloquium, tPAC, in Abuja over the weekend, the former president made an observation during a colloquium titled “Nigeria’s Development: Navigating the Way Out of the Current Economic Crisis and Insecurity.”
