The PDP governors who were elected on the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) platform and part of the PDP governors forum have sworn not to comply with the federal government’s insinuation.
The governors said they would oppose such actions and stand firm in their commitment to good governance, accusing the federal government of using intimidation and exclusionary tactics.

The PDP governors made the commitment at the 99th PDP National Executive Committee, meeting, which took place in Abuja on Tuesday.
Bala Mohammed, the governor of Bauchi State and chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, spoke to the audience and emphasised the difficulties the party and its members confront.
He stated that the administration of President Bola Tinubu has produced a special set of conditions characterised by challenges, subtly provocative actions, and changing political dynamics.

Mohammed revealed that a number of coalition negotiations and defections had affected the PDP, even affecting some of its members.
He restated that the PDP’s unity sets it apart from other parties, which he described as fragmented and divided.
“Despite these pressures, our members remain steadfast and unwavering. There is no form of intimidation or persuasion that we, as elected governors and members, have not encountered. Yet, we remain resolute in our commitment,”

“Other parties have been fragmented, with factions emerging here and there. But it is undeniable that we stand together as one,” he said.
The governor of Bauchi also emphasised the party’s initiatives to stay visible and tackle important governance concerns through state-level gatherings and statements.
Recent gatherings in Plateau, Taraba, Oyo, Delta, Akwa Ibom, and Bauchi were also mentioned by the PDP Governors Forum chairman as proof of the party’s active participation.
