People’s Democratic Party (PDP) South South Zonal Caretaker Committee Chairman Emmanuel Ogidi revealed that the National Working Committee (NWC) will examine the actions of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike and make a decision the following week.
Yesterday, Ogidi stated on television that the party was ready to make a choice regarding Wike because they were tired of his actions.
Recall that the minister provided the party’s leadership with requirements for peace to prevail in a Monday televised appearance. Wike stated that his faction’s South-South zonal congress, which was rejected, must be acknowledged by the party.
“Well, it is over for now but there are still some things remaining which I have told them they must do. One is our South South zonal congress, which we must uphold. There are no two ways about it.
“During our South South zonal congress, the acting national chairman claimed that the PDP governors were not in support of the congress. Where are the PDP governors today?

“Our congress was held in Calabar, and there is nothing anybody can tell us. If they want another round of crisis, so be it. That congress must be. Chief Dan Orbih emerged as national vice chairman,” he said.
Ogidi however in response to Wike’s snide remarks said, “PDP is a big family, but I can tell you the NWC will take action on Wike next week, because you cannot serve two masters. I don’t know why the APC is tolerating him, because he is also doing damage to them with his utterances.

“We have been restraining ourselves, there is no crisis, there are only two legs left – NEC this month and convention. Even if he is starting another crisis, he is on his own but I appreciate his frustration.
“He is doing the agenda of the APC, but we have been tolerating him because of his past record. He was very good before now, he did a lot. But others have also done so. He has gone too far. I have been managing myself, I don’t want to be emotional, but at times, it is good to say it as it is,” he said.
