The Africa Social Impact Summit (ASIS) 2024, hosted by Lagos State in collaboration with the United Nations and Sterling One Foundation, marks a significant step toward advancing sustainable development goals across the continent. With a theme centered on “Reimagining Progress,” this summit is poised to bring together a diverse array of leaders in development and sustainability to accelerate progress towards the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The participation of over 5,000 attendees underscores the importance and urgency of addressing the challenges outlined in the UN Progress Report on Sustainable Development Goals. Lagos State Commissioner for Commerce, Trade, and Investment, Mrs. Folashade Ambrose-Medebem, emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to tackle these challenges and achieve meaningful transformation.

The summit provides a platform for mobilizing both individuals and organizations as crucial partners in advancing progress and addressing the gaps highlighted in the report. By fostering dialogue, sharing innovative solutions, and forging partnerships, ASIS 2024 aims to drive tangible and multifaceted solutions that can make a lasting impact across Africa.

Overall, ASIS 2024 represents a pivotal moment for the continent, where stakeholders come together to chart a course towards a more sustainable and equitable future.
