In a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu cited the nation’s current challenges and recent security breaches as reasons for his decision.
He emphasized the importance of focusing on improving the country’s situation rather than celebrating. This marks Tinubu’s first birthday celebration as President, and in previous years, he opted for prayers and canceled events in solidarity with national tragedies.
