In an incredible comeback against Bodo/Glimt, Amorim wins his first game as the new manager of Manchester United.

New manager Amorim made six changes from the side who drew with Ipswich in his first game in charge.

Tyrell Malacia made his first Manchester United appearance since 2022–23 after finally recovering from 17 months of injury problems. On the other hand, Bodo/Glimt made five changes from their last league game as they faced Man United.

Just fifty seconds into the match, the Red Devils seized the lead thanks to their attacking threat. Nikita Haikin, the goalkeeper for Bodo/Glimt, was closed down by Rasmus Hojlund, and the keeper failed to get the ball away quickly enough. After Hojlund made a tackle, Haikin pulled him to the ground. Alejandro Garnacho taps home coolly as he follows up.

Immediately after, the away team took the lead with to goals from Philip Zinckernagel and Håkon Evjen.

Rasmus Hojlund juggled the ball in midair before volleying home after Noussair Mazraoui miraculously managed to cling onto the ball just before halftime.
When the second half began, Amorim’s team took the initiative. Mason Mount’s performance was outstanding; he flicked the ball to Bruno Fernandes, who then played it across the goal for Rasmus Hojlund to tap in.

Until the referee sounded the whistle for full time, Man United continued to push forward and attempted to control the game to prevent Bodo from equalizing.
