Euro 2024: Modric’s Strategy for Croatia’s Comeback.

Despite a disappointing group stage performance, Croatia and Luka Modric still have a slim chance of advancing to the Euro 2024 knockout stages. Here’s what needs to happen:

England Must Beat Slovenia Convincingly:
- Croatia need England to win their final group match against Slovenia by more than three goals. This would put Croatia ahead of Slovenia based on goal difference.
A Winner in Serbia vs. Denmark:
- Croatia needs a clear winner in the match between Serbia and Denmark. A draw would see both teams finish with more points or a better goal difference than Croatia.
Portugal to Defeat Georgia:
- Croatia needs Portugal to win against Georgia. If Georgia earns any points, they will finish above Croatia on goal difference.
Turkey to Defeat Czech Republic:
- Croatia also needs Turkey to beat the Czech Republic. Any other result would see the Czechs finish ahead of Croatia based on points or goal difference.
