As the new tax reforms are set to take full effect this January, the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has unveiled its institutional brand identity, marking the official transition from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) to the newly established revenue authority.
The agency’s new logo was unveiled to commemorate the change, according to a statement from Dare Adekanmbi, special assistant to the NRS chairman.
Zacch Adedeji, executive chairman of the NRS, stated that the new identification is a major turning point in the development of Nigeria’s tax administration system during his remarks at the unveiling event in Abuja on Wednesday.

According to Adedeji, the announcement shows a renewed dedication to a more cohesive, effective, and service-focused revenue structure that is in line with both international best practices and Nigeria’s economic reform strategy.
According to him, the new identity represents a forward-thinking strategy for assisting taxpayers and the advancement of the country, as well as a continuity of purpose and increased institutional capability.
The NRS stated in the statement that it is still dedicated to openness, collaboration, and high-quality service.
