New Mac Mini May Abandon USB-A Ports.
Apple’s next Mac mini is set to drop USB-A ports, as reported by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The updated Mac mini will feature the new M4 chip and offer five USB-C ports, along with Ethernet, HDMI, and headphone jack. This shift follows a broader trend of Apple moving away from USB-A in favor of USB-C, which, while offering advanced capabilities, often requires users to adapt with additional adapters. The new Mac mini is expected to be announced later this fall, with Apple’s “Glowtime” event on September 9 likely focusing on the new iPhone 16.
