‘They won’t get away with this’ – Emeka Ike protests at INEC office over NDC primary election

A mild protest broke out at the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Abuja on Monday, as Nollywood actor and House of Representatives aspirant Emeka Ike expressed displeasure over the outcome of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, primary election for the Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, seat.

Emeka Ike, who recently declared his intention to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives, stormed the INEC office over alleged irregularities in the conduct of the primary election.

It was gathered that the actor lost the party’s primaries.

Speaking during the protest, Ike condemned the electoral process, insisting he would not stay silent over the alleged irregularities.

“We don’t have an address when the election is going on. I am an aspirant, I’m a Nigerian.

“You won’t go away with this. I don’t do social media activism. INEC will not escape this,” he said.
