A former member of the House of Representatives from Kano State, Jibrin Abdulmumin, has said that President Bola Tinubu has consistently shown support for the northern region of the country.
Jibrin Abdulmumin stated that the President has maintained a long-standing relationship of backing the North, insisting that allegations suggesting otherwise are misleading.
Jibrin Abdulmumin made the remarks during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, where he dismissed claims that Tinubu is anti-North.
He described such narratives as propaganda being circulated to damage the President’s image in the region.
According to him, “There is heavy propaganda in parts of Northern Nigeria, and no one can deny that some politicians are pushing the idea that the President is unfair to the North in appointments and development projects.
“These claims, when carefully examined, are largely false and are intended to paint the President in a negative light.
“President Tinubu has demonstrated support for the North throughout his political journey and has consistently worked with and for Northerners.”
