Media personality Toke Makinwa has officially introduced her daughter, Yakira, to the public, marking the child’s first public appearance since birth as she celebrated her first birthday.
This reveal comes shortly after Makinwa posted photos on her social media page, having previously joked in a video that motherhood shifted her perspective and that people should now “chat with her differently.”
Just days prior to the unveiling, Makinwa shared in a clip that she was taking her daughter to London to host a lavish first birthday celebration. In the video, she highlighted how entering motherhood has elevated her status.
Despite frequently posting clips and beautiful moments with the toddler, Makinwa never disclosed her face.
She said, “Y’all need to chat with me differently now. I’m the mother of a one-year-old. I’m flying her to London for her birthday party.”
The media star also thanked God for the journey of motherhood, stating she was blessed with a healthy kid and that everything she asked for throughout pregnancy had come true.
Announcing the face reveal, Makinwa wrote, “The best part of my story, finally yours to meet.
Yakira Eliana. My precious answered prayer. My greatest love. My greatest blessing. One whole year of you, and today, I finally share a little piece of my heaven with the world.

The latest revelation comes nearly a year after Toke Makinwa welcomed her daughter in August 2025, a milestone she largely kept away from the public eye by withholding the child’s identity and face from social media.
In recent months, Makinwa has remained in the spotlight for her candid views on relationships and marriage. She has repeatedly advised women not to rush into marriage because of societal pressure, insisting that personal happiness and emotional readiness should take precedence.
