Charles Soludo, the sitting governor of Anambra State, has been urged by President Bola Tinubu to provide him a piece of land in the state for his retirement residence.
During his one-day visit to the state to inaugurate several projects by the governor, the president made this statement at a town hall gathering with the people of the state.
According to Soludo, the decision has not changed and his government will continue to back the Tinubu-led government till the end of its term in 2031.
While speaking to the crow gathered to express their support, Tinubu said, “I am now a bona-fide son of Anambra. A son of the soil. One of your sons.

“And as indeed your own son, maybe my friend your governor, should find me a plot of land for my retirement home.
“You don’t have to move me from the Villa for only one week, give me a permanent abode. It’s well with Anambra. It’s well with Nigeria.
“May our fighting men and women see victory. We’ll conquer insurgency. We’ll defeat them. I assure you. This country is blessed and this state is part of it. Anambra is rising and we will rise together.”
