Women Emotionally Check Out Once They Cheat” — Yul Edochie Sparks Heated Relationship Debate

Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has stated that infidelity affects women differently from men, claiming that a woman who cheats has most likely lost emotional interest in her relationship or marriage.

Speaking during a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, the actor argued that men should never forgive cheating, insisting that women who engage in infidelity have already checked out emotionally and psychologically from the relationship.

According to him, any man who forgives a cheating partner is considered “weak.”

Yul Edochie explained that women tend to be loyal and supportive when genuinely in love, but many men, according to him, end up in relationships with women who do not truly love them, which can lead to infidelity.

He referenced a recent controversy involving an alleged affair between a young man and a married woman, claiming the situation reflected where the woman’s true emotional attachment lay.

“If a woman truly loves you, she will go above and beyond for you,” he said, adding that many men ignore signs that their partners are emotionally invested elsewhere.

The actor further claimed that once a woman starts cheating, it usually means she has emotionally disconnected from the relationship, unlike men, who he implied may cheat without necessarily losing emotional attachment.

Edochie also advised men to set boundaries in relationships and avoid what he described as “simping,” stressing that women are more attracted to strong-minded men.
