Portable says he will arrest anyone who defames him.
Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, also known as Portable, has threatened to ensure the arrest of anyone who defames him.
He made this statement after being recently arrested and detained in prison for the alleged criminal defamation of veteran Fuji musician Akorede Saheed, popularly known as Saheed Osupa.
While speaking in a now-viral video, he vowed to take legal action against anyone who defames him henceforth.
He stated that having suffered the consequences of the law over alleged defamation, he would not delay to do the same to anyone who targets him.
He said, “Whoever talks bad about me or defames me will be arrested. They have done it to me, and I will do it to anybody too. There is no mercy.”
It was reported that he was detained at the Oke Kura Correctional Centre in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, after failing to meet stringent bail conditions imposed by an Upper Area Court in the state.
However, he was later released on bail following the withdrawal of the petition against him by Saheed Osupa.
