Kaduna lawmaker, Hon. Usman Garba Zingo, has regained his freedom after reportedly being released by armed bandits on Sunday evening, bringing relief to his family, supporters, and members of his community.
His release was confirmed hours after initial reports claimed he was abducted while travelling from Zamfara to Kaduna.
However, the Kaduna State House of Assembly has refuted the abduction claims, insisting that no such incident occurred.
But, Bakatsine, a security expert in the North West shared a video on X with well wishers congratulating Usman Garba Zingo.
Details about how Usman Garba Zingo was freed, including whether any conditions were met, remain unclear as neither security agencies nor family members have publicly explained the circumstances surrounding his release.
Shortly after the news of his freedom broke, residents gathered to welcome him back, expressing gratitude to Almighty Allah for his safe return.
No official statement has been issued on his release yet.
