The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has rescheduled its gubernatorial and presidential screening processes for Monday, May 18.
Bolaji Abdullahi, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, said in a statement released on Saturday that the screening exercise was originally scheduled for this weekend.
The statement partly reads, “The African Democratic Congress (ADC) wishes to inform all presidential and governorship aspirants that the party’s screening exercise earlier scheduled for this weekend has been postponed to Monday, 18th May 2026.”

Bolaji also said that screenings for candidates for the national assembly from northern Nigeria will now be held in Abuja.
He said the decision was due to the security situation in some northern states, further adding that all affected candidates will be given updated schedules and further information.
