Nigeria’s dark days are over – Tinubu Vows better reforms

President Bola Tinubu has promised that the dark days for Nigeria and Nigerians is finally over, adding that the light has come.

Meanwhile, Tinubu said his administration’s reforms are challenging but necessary to build a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria for future generations.

He made the statement in a message signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, to mark the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

The president also urged Nigerians to embrace sacrifice, selflessness, unity, and compassion for fellow human beings. According to him, Nigeria is on a journey of reconstruction and renewal.

Additionally, he said the sacrifices made over the past three years have yielded a more stable economy, making Nigeria a preferred investment destination that will drive job creation and economic growth.

He said, “The reforms we have undertaken are challenging but necessary to build a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria for future generations.

“The walk through the dark tunnel is over, and the light is here.

“I am confident that, by the grace of God, the reforms we have diligently pursued will continue to yield improved security and greater opportunities for all.”

This comes shortly after the President emerged the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate after beating Stanley Osifo.

Recall that the APC conducted its presidential primaries across 8,809 wards nationwide, and the president defeated his lone challenger with 10.99 million votes against 16,504.

Meanwhile,  Tinubu has acknowledged that many Nigerians are still grappling with economic hardship and persistent security concerns across the country.

He made this known on Sunday while accepting the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential ticket for the 2027 general election.

Speaking on the nation’s economic situation, Tinubu further admitted the difficulties citizens are facing, particularly rising prices and ongoing economic adjustments.
