“Deploy Water Testers to Fight Cholera, SoTLAN Tells FG.
Laboratory Analysts, under the Society of Testing Laboratory Analysts of Nigeria (SoTLAN), have expressed concern over the cholera outbreak in Lagos and Ogun States. They urged the government to deploy Public Analysts for comprehensive water quality testing to address the crisis. SoTLAN President, Olugbenga Ogunmoyela, emphasized the need for proper sampling and testing of water and sanitation outlets to prevent further spread. The society highlighted the importance of mobilizing Public Analysts, facilitating collaboration between relevant ministries, and public awareness on preventive measures. They advised the public to boil water, practice good hygiene, and seek medical attention for cholera symptoms.
