Ganduje Warns ENSIEC of Legal Action Over Enugu LG Poll, APC Factions.
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has issued a stern warning to the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC) over its recognition of the Alphonsus Nwafor-led faction instead of the Ugochukwu Agballah-led faction in the upcoming September 21 local government polls in Enugu State. Ganduje accused ENSIEC of undermining the APC’s constitution by engaging with a faction that is not officially recognized by the party. He emphasized that Ugochukwu Agballah remains the legitimate APC Chairman in Enugu and threatened to take legal action if ENSIEC continues its association with the Nwafor faction. Ganduje’s letter to ENSIEC’s Chairman, Prof. Christian C. Ngwu, highlights the potential legal consequences if the electoral commission does not align with the party’s official stance.
