Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, on Monday paid a visit to the 2027 African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
Amaechi, a former Governor of Rivers State, visited Atiku at his residence in Abuja.
Also present at the residence were a chieftain of the ADC and veteran Nollywood actor, Kenneth Okonkwo, along with other dignitaries.
Details of the visit had not been made public at the time of filing this report.
It was reported that Amaechi contested the ADC presidential primary alongside Atiku Abubakar and Mohammed Hayatu-Deen.
Atiku emerged winner of the primary, while Amaechi came second and Hayatu-Deen finished third.
Both Amaechi and Hayatu-Deen later rejected the outcome of the election, describing it as neither free nor fair.
Following the primary, Atiku also visited Amaechi and Hayatu-Deen, urging them to join forces with him in his bid to “rescue Nigeria.”
