Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has uncovered plans to kidnap schoolchildren and disrupt farm activities in the state. According to his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, criminal elements are being mobilized in rural areas, posing a serious threat to the community’s safety.
The governor expressed concern that schools are being targeted for abductions and attacks to undermine the safe school initiative and infrastructure plans. He also addressed concerns about rivalry within the Amotekun corps and plans to reform it for better effectiveness.

To address these threats, Adeleke has instructed the Ministry of Education to review safety measures in schools and ordered principals to clear overgrown school environments. Additionally, he plans to mobilize local hunters and forest rangers to safeguard farming communities.
