Dangote Petrol Now Available at ₦897/Litre via NNPC.
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) has begun lifting petrol from Dangote’s new $20 billion refinery in Lekki, marking a significant shift in Nigeria’s energy landscape. The refinery, which has a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, is expected to meet Nigeria’s petrol demand and even supply the sub-Saharan region. Dangote assured that the high-quality fuel produced will reduce engine problems and pollution. The refinery’s operations are poised to impact global fuel markets, potentially lowering logistics costs and reducing Nigeria’s reliance on European imports. Petrol prices at NNPC outlets have risen to ₦897 per litre amid supply challenges.
