VP Shettima reiterated President Tinubu’s commitment to revamp the tax system without burdening Nigerians. He emphasized the need to improve tax collection efficiency and eradicate illegal tax collections by non-state actors. Shettima highlighted collaboration with CITN to adopt global best practices. CITN President, Samuel Agbeluyi, praised government efforts and outlined CITN’s goals. Meanwhile, Shettima urged leaders in the capital market to restructure to attract more youths, strengthen internal mechanisms, and maximize the sector’s potential.
