Yellow Card Sets Sights on Nigeria After CASP Victory
Crypto exchange company, Yellow Card, is said to be working on securing regulatory approval from Nigeria’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), citing thier experience from South Africa, where they recently secured a Crypto Asset Service provider licence. (CASP)
The vice president of Global Operation and MD at Yellow Card Nigeria, Oludimu Lasbery, disclosed this in an Interview. According to her, Yellow company, which has recently raised $33M in Series C funding. The company has submitted an application to the SEC under the Acceleration Regulatory Incubation Programme (ARIP) and is awaiting approval in principle.

The regulation in Nigeria, Oludimu said the SEC has made such a remarkable strides in that regards through its ARIP program.
He said this program creates a much safer enviroment for users and it aligns with the broader financial compliance goal.
According to her the ARIP is now pushing Nigeria to the forefront of global regulatory standard as it gives a structured pathway for crypto business to operate within a regulated framework.
