BREAKING: Police Declare Portable Wanted for Assault!
On Monday, Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable was declared wanted over his alleged role in the violent attack of public officials in the line of duty.
A statement from the Ogun State Police Command quoted the Command Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola.
According to Odutola, on February 5, 2025, at about 1000hrs, three officials of the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Ota Zonal Office; TPL Onabanjo Abidemi, TPL Raymond Lateef, TPL Ridwan Oyero Akinlesi were engaged in enforcement work at Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota. When they encountered an elderly man later identified as Portable’s father, at Odogwu Bar in the area.

“The father informed them that his son was not on the site when they introduced themselves and asked to see the valid building plan.”
“But moments later, Portable armed with a gun and other weapons led a nine-man gang with a violent attack on the unarmed officials.
“The enforcement officers sustained various bodily injuries but managed to escape and reported the incident to the Ota Area Command, which then escalated the case for further investigation to the State Criminal Investigation Department.
“Nine accomplices have been arrested, whereas Portable fled the scene and has been on the run.”
She continued, “Multiple formal invitations were sent to him, requesting his presence at the Ogun State Police Command Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, which he deliberately ignored without cause or legal representation.
“After all, efforts to invite him proved abortive; Ogun State Police Command secured a valid court order declaring him wanted.
“The public is by this notice advised to assist the police with any useful information that could lead to his immediate arrest in such a manner that anyone found to conceal or assist him should be charged in violation of the law.”
“Any relevant information should be reported to the nearest police station or through any communication channels made available by the Ogun State Police Command or the police public relations department.”
About two weeks ago, nine associates of the singer were brought before a Magistrate Court sitting at Isabo, Abeokuta, for the alleged assault of officers of the Ota Zonal Planning office of the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
They were Nurudeen Waris, 21; Adetola Alashe, 25; Samuel Adeleke, 28; Oluwaseun Ayenuwa, 19; Oluwapelumi Adeosun, 20; Gospel Kanu, 20; Precious Ohiegebo, 19; Ifeoluwa Babatunde, 27; and Fatimo Muhammed, 26.
The defendants were arraigned on five counts of conspiracy, assault occasioning bodily harm, armed with cutlasses and guns, conduct likely to cause a breach of peace, and attempted murder.
They, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.
