Chaos as Angry CBEX Investors Loot Ibadan Office
With regard to aggrieved clients looting the CBEX office located at Oke Ado in Ibadan following the alleged crash of the platform, “Ibadan” has become a trending topic of discussion on the X app formerly known as Twitter.
CBEX, which had been popular in recent months for its high-yield investment packages and aggressive marketing online, now looks like it is going to be a major investment scam.
This development has devastated many Nigerians and left them stranded financially.
Different users talked to our correspondent saying they logged into CBEX over the weekend, only to find their account balances wiped clean without an explanation or prior notice from the platform administrators. Some of the investors claimed that they invested amounts ranging from 200,000 to over 5 million in the scheme.

“I thought it was a glitch at first,” said Kunle Adewola, a tech expert. “But when I tried to withdraw and got an error message, I knew something was wrong. My entire savings is gone.”
This incident happened barely hours to the withdrawal period said to be on April 15, after the company instructed investors not to make further withdrawals from April 11.

Today, they allegedly moved $822,852,811.66 (N1,337,021,554,889.20 trillion) into a private ETHwallet, as users funds dissapeared from their wallets and turned to 0.00.
Now, they’ve locked all their telegram channels, postponed withdrawals. But gave investors a lifeline. — If you have up to $1000 in, you should pay another $200 for verification. If you have less than $1000, you will pay $100 for verification.
