Family Never Liked Him – Pastor Defends David
Apostle Olatunde Adekunle Babatunde has come to the defense of Pastor David Favour Love, Shimite Bello’s husband, who is being accused of causing her death. The family never really liked him.

Shimite, the Governor’s Special Adviser on Trade and Export in Delta State, died at St. Luke’s Hospital, Asaba, on Easter Monday, April 21, 2025, after allegedly finding her with foam at the mouth. Family members have alleged that Shimite’s husband kept her away from family and is tightly wrapped around her movements.
“Since the commencement of his life with her, everyone was cut off. Not even her brother was allowed to visit. He wouldn’t allow her to go to the office; he tracked her movements closely. Even all her properties in Abuja and elsewhere were transferred under his name. We believe manipulative—hypnotized even,” Sahara Reporters was told by a family source.
However, on Wednesday, April 23, Apostle Babatunde upped his Facebook post saying that the family of Shimite never liked David because they could not stand the fact that she loved him over family members or friends.
According to Babatunde, the Shimite husband was at one time enjoying free housing in one of my properties in Ilorin.
Also, he debunked the allegation of David persuading Shimite to change names on all her property to his own.
“I know it well that fake and bad news travel fast rather than good news, and they judge by emotions and not by facts because this is outstanding for us to believe lies over truth,” the Apostle wrote.
This post is to people who love Truth rather than just mere lies and propaganda.
I know the man in question, and let me say this here that the man lives in one of my properties in Ilorin for free before now.
Let me also let you know that they called me from time to time to pray for her late wife.
The wife’s family never liked him because the wife loves the man above any family or friends, which they weren’t cool with at all.
Not a single house help was anywhere called, nor was anyone, there was absolutely no domestic violence anywhere; true, however, was that the woman vomited into a container, which led to her being taken to hospital… It was the husband that raised the alarm and not any family anywhere.
They were planning to make her a local government chairman for the year 2027, which did not go down well with some people… I know you will still believe your lies.
Police did not arrest him. They rescued him from the hospital because of the large number of people who gathered against him for his own safety.
As I am talking to you now, the husband said the family carried their daughter and took her away to an unknown destination, and the police already intervened on the matter.
The pharmacist and the nurse that treated her all through before her demise came to the station on their own to tell the police what has been happening before now which led to her sudden natural death .
This was a natural d3ath that some people took advantage of to close the man out of the family.
People, my people sadly choose to believe more in lies than in truths; however, I am among one person who shall never run or deny you on account of any trouble…
David Favour Love is not the perfect man, but for this, I can bet with him; he cannot kill a tick… I know you will still argue, but listen to me; I don’t support evil if you know me very well. I hate Wickedness and injustice.
