Desmond Elliott-I was nearly burnt alive in my office during #EndSARS protests
Actor/Politician, Desmond Elliott, has revealed that he barely escaped being burnt alive as his office was attacked by masked men during the EndSARS protest in October 2020.

During a new interview with Nollywood On Radio, Surulere constituency representative in the Lagos state House of Assembly, Elliott, stated that the attackers broke into his office during the crisis and started damaging it.
He told us that because he could not return home to Lekki as there was a curfew, he slept overnight in his office. He said he was relaxing at his office when e suddenly heard the scream of his landlady’s daughter crying and attempting to shield him by shouting, “he doesn’t stay here!
Elliot has disclosed that the attack escalated as a bottle of fuel was hurled into his office, which resulted in an inferno.

He narrated; “I have never been so terrified in my life”.
When there was curfew during the EndSARS period, most of the bad boys came to Surulere and because of the curfew I could not go home. I was stuck in Lekki so I could not go home and has to come back to my office in Surulere.”.
I was in my office and I didn’t have an idea there was going to be anything so I had been watching TV inside my office since I had the intention of sleeping inside the office.
The other thing, I could hear yelling by my landlady’s daughter saying I don’t live there.
When I realized there was an issue was when a fuel and fire bottle was hurled into my office and it resulted in fire.
I called the chief of staff for assistance. I have never been as frightened in my life, it was terrible.”he stated

Elliot attracted the ire of some Nigerians after he referred to the youths demonstrating as ”children”.
