Evangelist Mike Bamiloye has stirred a heated conversation on social media with his bold take on female pastors who prioritize ministry over family.
In a post that has sparked debates, he called out women in ministry who leave their husbands and children behind to travel for months, fulfilling ministerial duties.
According to Bamiloye, these women often stay in luxurious hotels, enjoying the perks of their work, while their husbands are left to manage life at home.
He painted a vivid picture of these men, struggling to take care of the home, relying on maids, cousins, or family members for support.
Bamiloye wasn’t done. He claimed that some of these women, despite being away for long periods, publicly sing the praises of their husbands during sermons but fail to acknowledge the loneliness and challenges the men endure at home.
He added that if a husband dares to suggest his wife slow down, she might accuse him of stifling her calling.
The drama evangelist, known for his candid opinions, didn’t stop at criticizing the women. He hinted that marriage and ministry should be balanced, and neither spouse should feel neglected.
However, his comments didn’t sit well with many followers, who called him out for being biased.
One commenter, @mercy_oladapo_adebayo, argued, “Sir, this also happens to women whose husbands are in ministry. Let’s not make it one-sided.
Marriage should be balanced, regardless of who’s in ministry.” Another user, @cartonbox_packaging_printing, added, “Family well-being should be a priority. Work-life balance is essential for everyone.”
Some fans recalled a popular Mount Zion movie, “Busy But Guilty,” which tackled similar themes. @tolucci.ng commented, “This reminds me of Busy But Guilty. God help us all.”
Others took a more humorous approach. @mjaygurl chimed in with, “The owner of my head got me!” Meanwhile, @wunmi_izuagie shared how the post inspired her Christian romance writing journey.
The debate remains heated, with many agreeing that ministry and family life require careful balance.
While Bamiloye’s post might have been intended as advice, it has sparked discussions about fairness and shared responsibilities in relationships where ministry is involved.
One thing is clear: maintaining harmony at home is just as important as fulfilling a calling.
