RCCG suspends Pastor Idowu Iluyomade from City of David church.
The City of David Parish of RCCG in Lagos suspends Pastor Idowu Iluyomade due to his wife’s extravagant birthday celebration shortly after the passing of Herbert Wigwe, a prominent church member. The decision was made by the governing council in response to public criticism. Pastor Charles Kpandei from RCCG Resurrection Parish replaces him. The lavish party, held at Eko Hotels and Suites, stirred controversy given its timing. Social commentator Chukwudi Iwuchukwu expressed disapproval, highlighting the insensitivity of the event.
