Nigerian musician and CEO of Marlians Records, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, faces backlash after boasting about his multimillion Naira outfit for Eid Mubarak, coming up on June 16th. The artist revealed he spent over 27,000 Euros (54 million Naira) on Sallah clothes, sharing the order details but no preview of the outfit.
Naira Marley posted the receipt with the caption “Aso Odun don land o” (“Celebratory clothes have landed”), sparking massive reactions. Social media users criticized him for flaunting the expensive purchase, calling it insensitive.
