Nnamdi Kanu, a Biafra nation activist, has finally succumbed to the Federal High Court in Abuja’s order to defend himself against the Federal Government’s terrorism allegations.
As instructed by Justice James Omotosho, Kanu is presently filing his defence documents within the courtroom.

The judge ordered that the court’s registry be temporarily moved to his courtroom in order to facilitate the filing after Kanu filed a number of complaints.
Recall that last week, Nnamdi Kanu had refused to file defense papers, insisting that there were no charges against him. The IPOB leader had made this bold move to represent himself in court after firing his lawyers in a shocking twist of events.

However, following his refusal to file the defense, the Judge had advised Mazi Kanu to rethink the decision and as he was required.
Adegboyega Awomolo, the Federal Government’s lawyer, told the court that he would accept Kanu’s procedures in the courtroom and react appropriately.

The judge had halted proceedings for an hour while the defence materials were being filed at the time of this report.

Until today, Kanu had consistently refused to begin his defence, demanding to be presented the precise terrorist statute that he is accused of breaking.
