Nollywood actress Osas Ighodaro has made her first feature in a Nollywood-Bollywood scene, starring in cross-cultural vertical drama series titled ‘Imported Bahu’.
The actress released a video of the official trailer via her social media platforms, describing the series as the inaugural vertical micro-drama from Forever 7 Entertainment, a production company founded by Nigerian-Indian filmmaker Hamisha Daryani Ahuja.
Vertical dramas, also known as micro-dramas, feature short-form episodic content designed specifically for smartphone viewing and filmed in a portrait (9:16) aspect ratio and Forever 7 Entertainment promotes creative collaboration between Bollywood and Nollywood through cross-cultural storytelling.
Meanwhile, Bollywood actor Rajniesh Duggall co-stars in the series. Imported Bahu follows the story of an “imported wife” whose arrival disrupts the dynamics of her husband’s Indian family, while exploring themes of love, family, and hidden secrets.
Osas Ighodaro plays the title character in the trailer, where he is introduced as a new family member. She further disclosed in her statement that she earlier stepped back from her usual projects to concentrate on the project.

Who is Osas Ighodaro?
Osas Ighodaro is popular an actress, host, producer and humanitarian.

She is a proud Nigerian-American who is a graduate from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism and dual minor degrees in Entrepreneurship and Theatre.
Ighodaro began her acting career in New York, performing in theatre and indie films before making her Nollywood debut in the television series ‘Tinsel’ with the film ‘Adanna’.
She is also a an award winning actress with the title, AMVCA Best Actress in a Drama in both 2022 and 2023.
Some of her most prominent features includes; ‘Rattlesnake’, ‘Smart Money Woman’, ‘Fela and the Kalakuta Queens’, ‘Cadillac Records’ & ‘Tyler Perry’s ‘Meet the Browns’ amongst her many projects.
Away from her career, Osas is an advocate against the spread of preventable diseases and in turn is the founder of the NGO, Joyful Joy Foundation, which strives to eradicate Malaria throughout Africa – one community at a time.
