Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris has vehemently denied rumours that he intends to leave the All Progressives Congress (APC), calling them “false, malicious, and a huge joke cracked by the most uninteresting political comedians.”
In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Ahmed Idris, the governor denied rumours that he and four other governors were planning to join a new coalition with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as its leader.

The governor compared the situation to “mad fellows dancing naked in the marketplace” and stated that he would have normally disregarded the “baseless” rumours but felt obliged to address them for the purpose of clarity.
Governor Idris highlighted his close relationship with Kebbi State’s residents, stating that he and the electorate are still steadfastly loyal to the APC.
He called on the public to ignore the “malicious” reports and reaffirmed his dedication to enhancing Kebbi State’s prosperity in line with President Bola Tinubu’s administration’s larger agenda.

“He cannot and will not abandon his people to embrace political strangers,” the statement added.
