Ahead of the crucial 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe, Eric Chelle, Super Eagles coach, has released a 23-man squad to face the opposition on March 21 and 25, 2025.

Notable members of the squad list are Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, William Ekong, and Alex Iwobi. Tolu Arokodare will debut for the Super Eagles after his noticeable performances for the Belgium club, KRC Genk.
Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa, who unfortunately wasn’t included in the final squad list, has told the media that the next 2026 WCQ matches for the Super Eagles are a must-win for the team.

Eric Chelle, who was appointed as the new Super Eagles coach, has ensured Nigerians that the team will clinch the 2026 World Cup ticket.
Below is the 23 squad man list:
Goalkeepers: Stanley Nwabali, Amas Obasogie, and Kayode Bankole.
Defenders: William Ekong, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Bruno Onyemachi, Calvin Bassey, Olaoluwa Aina, and Igoh Ogbu.
Midfielders: Wilfred Ndidi, Raphael Onyedika, Alhassan Yusuf Abdullahi, Alex Iwobi, Joseph Ayodele Aribo, and Papa Daniel Mustapha.
