The Nigerian Super Eagles team arrived in Kigali on Monday at the Radisson Blu Hotel. Their gaffer, Eric Chelle, has issued a strong warning to the team in a bid to combat indiscipline both off and on the field.

Chelle, has read a riot act to the Super Eagles team where he stated that the team will not receive any visitors and also that the team’s training on Tuesday is an important one, so anybody that misses it will surely not feature in the match against Rwanda.

According to the official Super Eagles team handle, a total of six players were available on Monday evening, while the other team members are expected to arrive in Kigali on Tuesday. The team could be seen engaging in a light gym session.

Victor Osimhen, Galatasaray’s hitman, revealed in an interview with Super Eagles’s legend, Mikel Obi, in his Obi One Podcast about what he expects and how he feels about Eric Chelle being in charge of the team.

Osimhen said, “I know him from the last AFCON and what he has done with the Malian team. He’s a coach that loves to play and loves to fight.

“He told me he’s going to be very demanding. He said that he needs me and the senior players on the team to work with him to achieve amazing things for Nigeria. The one who doesn’t fight for every ball will not play.

“He said he could be a father, big brother, or uncle to everybody. But on the pitch, it is business. If the younger players see us running crazy, they will do it also.

“He said, ‘I might scream at you guys; I might do a lot of stuff, but don’t take it to heart.’ And I agree with him because Nigeria is a big country with millions of players.”

Austin Eguavoen was not left out, as Osimhen heaped praise on him for his handling, man management, and respect for the team when he was the interim coach in charge before the appointment of Eric Chelle by the NFF.

The Galatasary striker said, “He has given every member of the Super Eagles team respect, and I speak for every other team member that they received equal respect from him.
