Atalanta and Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman, has been contacted by Liverpool’s officials regarding him being a potential replacement for Mohammed Salah.
27-year-old Lookman, who has been in outstanding form this season for Atalanta, scored 17 goals and provided 9 assists in all competitions.
Ademola Lookman, who is valued by Atalanta at around €65 million (£53.8 million), has several clubs looking to sign him this summer. Among the clubs is Arsenal, who had made their interest known but haven’t progressed much in their discussions.
Other Premier League clubs interested in signing the Super Eagles forward include Newcastle United and Manchester United. According to reports, Newcastle have sent scouts to watch Lookman’s performance and determine if he would be good as a winger or striker.

Lookman’s profile further rose after scoring a historic hat-trick in Atalanta’s Europa League final win over Bayer Leverkusen and leading Nigeria to the Africa Cup of Nations final, ultimately being named Africa’s Player of the Year in 2024.
The Super Eagles forward started his Premier League playing career in 2017 with Everton before moving on to play for RB Leipzig and Fulham.
Liverpool’s new sporting director, Richard Hughes, and head coach, Arne Slot, are said to be planning for contingencies, with Lookman emerging as a top candidate due to his proven goal-scoring ability, versatility across the forward line, and experience in high-pressure situations.
Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, and Inter Milan are also reportedly keeping an eye on Lookman’s situation, with the French club having shown interest in him last summer.
