Salah surpasses Palmer as Slot’s Reds reclaim the top spot in the Premier League against Chelsea.
Arne Slot’s Liverpool defeated Chelsea 2-1 at Anfield to restore the top spot, their seventh straight victory across all competitions.
The game started slowly but picked up speed around the 20-minute mark. Cole Palmer received a great ball from Noni Madueke inside the Liverpool box, but three players soon surrounded him, ending the attack.
The home team swiftly converted that move into a counterattack, and Slot’s team had a fantastic opportunity when Colwill fouled Curtis Jones in the box.
Mohamed Salah took the penalty kick and scored his seventh goal of the year.
Chelsea struggled because of Liverpool’s speed during the interval. Cody Gakpo was almost set up at the back post by an offside Salah, but the flag was raised.
When Jones was hauled down by Robert Sánchez as halftime drew near, Liverpool was awarded another penalty. But VAR stepped in and made sure the goalie reached the ball first.
Early in the second half, Nicolas Jackson broke through Liverpool’s defense and slotted past Caoimhin Kelleher, rewarding Chelsea for their efforts. Chelsea had a much better start to the second half.
Liverpool’s defense held tight for a vital victory despite the Blues’ best efforts.

Turkish football experts believe that “Galatasaray should release videos of Osimhen training” so that the Nigerian star may teach the rest of Lig.
The rest of the league should take a cue from Galatasaray, according to a Turkey Super Lig analyst.
To help close the deficit, Galatasaray has been instructed to make training videos of Victor Osimhen available to other Turkish Super Lig teams.
Despite playing one more game than the Black Eagles, Galatasaray leads their nearest opponents, Besiktas, by five points, making them the early leaders in the Super Lig.
Only once this season, in their draw with Kasimpasa, have they been denied a league victory. They have won all of their other games, including the well-publicized matchup with Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce.
With Osimhen joining an offensive lineup that already includes Dries Mertens, Mauro Icardi, and Hakim Ziyech, they should continue to erode further due to their offensive prowess.

Cedar Ali Celikier, a Turkish football commentator, thinks the Cim-Bom are a lot better than the other teams in the division. In order to assist the others catch up, he recommends that Okan Buruk’s side train at a higher level and share some of their techniques with them.
According to FTR, he stated, “I believe Galatasaray’s training sessions are of higher quality than some Super Lig matches.” Galatasaray will receive more views if they post a challenging 11v11 training session with Osimhen on one team and Icardi on the other on YouTube.
