BREAKING: Trump announces Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, ISIS second in command globally, killed in US-Nigerian operation

United States President, Donald Trump on Friday night announced that US forces in collaboration with Nigerian forces have successfully killed a global ISIS leader during a joint operation.

Trump also identified the terrorist as Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, describing him as the second-in-command of ISIS worldwide.

In a statement shared on his Truth Social, Trump Said, “Tonight, at my direction, brave American forces and the Armed Forces of Nigeria flawlessly executed a meticulously planned and very complex mission to eliminate the most active terrorist in the world from the battlefield.”

“Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, second in command of ISIS globally, thought he could hide in Africa, but little did he know we had sources who kept us informed on what he was doing,” Trump continued. “He will no longer terrorize the people of Africa, or help plan operations to target Americans.”

Speaking further, the US president thanked the Nigerian government for it’s cooperation during the joint operation.

However, Trump did not disclose Additional details surrounding the mission.

Meanwhile, The announcement comes after U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said it carried out several strikes in February against more than 30 ISIS targets in Syria as part of a coordinated campaign to sustain pressure on the terrorist network’s remnants.
