The governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, was involved in a ghastly car accident on the Daura route early sunday evening, but managed to narrowly escape death unhurt.
Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, chief press secretary for the governor, stated that Malam Radda was on official business at the time of the event.
According to a statement from Mr. Mohammed, the governor is doing well, has not suffered any severe injuries, and is still in a positive mood.
“We are pleased to confirm that the Governor is in good health and stable condition, with no serious injuries sustained,” the statement read.
Mohammed added that Radda “remains in high spirits and expresses his gratitude to Almighty Allah for His protection, as well as Katsina citizens and well-wishers for their prayers and concern.”
This incident comes only one week after the Katsina governor shed tears profusely, mourning the late former president Buhari, during his funeral on July 15.
