Speaking during an interview on TVC, Fayose alleged that Makinde had taken control of key state lands and sidelined many individuals who played a role in his rise to power.
He claimed that nearly all those who worked toward Makinde’s emergence have since been pushed aside.
He further accused Makinde of dismantling the party’s structure in the region, stating, “Makinde has destroyed all PDP structures in the South-West.”
Fayose also questioned the credibility of the party’s process in Osun State, alleging that “a candidate who did not even obtain a PDP form eventually became the candidate.”

On his personal experience, Fayose claimed he was targeted during a political event in Osun State, alleging that “Makinde organised an attack on me in Osun,” and described the Oyo governor as “a small boy” in political terms.
Speaking on his political standing, Fayose described himself as an “elder statesman,” insisting that he governed Ekiti State without external control. “I fought my governorship without a godfather,” he said.
He openly declared his allegiance to Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, saying, “I’m a Wike person. Anywhere Wike is, that is where I am.”
Fayose also reiterated his party loyalty, stressing, “I will never join the APC.”
