Authorities filed additional charges against him VDM.
Controversial social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM), has been returned to Kuje prison in Abuja shortly after being granted bail on June 10th. Despite the court’s decision, VDM was held back due to a video taken during his court proceeding by some mischievous individuals.
VDM had previously spent three weeks in prison after being arraigned for cyberstalking. During the court session, a judge explicitly warned against recording VDM, but a video showing his apparent freedom went viral online, leading to his re-arrest.
A friend of VDM, Itskokopee, shared a video highlighting the situation. Social media users reacted to this development, expressing mixed opinions.
- officialkelvinpower: “Na wa o, some people are so silly laughing at someone’s trials time forgetting that it could be their turn too…..”
- vickmoney_man_: “😂😂😂 Are you afraid you go join him soon 😂😂”.
- iam_bennys: “VDM is so smart, he saw that person trust me.”
The incident underscores the consequences of defying court orders and the pervasive influence of social media
