A second video has emerged showing victims of the recent mass abduction involving teachers and pupils in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, with a nursing mother emotionally pleading for assistance and the safe release of her child.

In the video, the woman, identified as Temitope and reportedly a staff member of First Baptist Church School, Ogbomosho, appealed to the Federal Government, the Oyo State Government, and President Bola Tinubu for urgent intervention.

Holding her baby while speaking, she recounted how armed men stormed the school premises and abducted both teachers and students during the attack.

The emotional appeal followed an earlier video released by Mrs. Rachael Alamu, the principal of Community High School, Esiele, who also called for urgent action after seven teachers and 39 pupils were abducted last Friday.

In her message, she appealed to the Federal Government, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, and the Christian Association of Nigeria to support efforts aimed at securing the release of the victims.

Security agencies have since confirmed that rescue operations are ongoing, with police and military personnel reportedly combing forest routes around the Old Oyo National Park in search of the abductors.

Reports had earlier indicated that during the attack, an assistant headmaster identified as Joel Adesiyan was killed, while the attackers also carted away several motorcycles as they escaped from the scene.
