Agom Anthony has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.
At the end of voting and collation by party officials, Rt. Hon. Agom Anthony was declared the winner with a total of 19,124 votes.
Other contestants recorded the following results: Hon. Innocent Ikwumonu polled 884 votes, Hon. Patience Ene Akor secured 853 votes, Hon. Abah Okoriko got 815 votes, Hon. John Mary Idoko scored 599 votes, while Hon. Fred Apoch received 438 votes.
With the announcement, Agom Anthony has officially become the APC flag bearer for the Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency in the 2027 House of Representatives election.

In his acceptance speech, he appreciated party leaders, stakeholders, delegates, and supporters for the confidence reposed in him.
He pledged inclusive leadership, effective representation, and commitment to the development of the Ado, Okpokwu, and Ogbadibo areas.
However, one of the aspirants, Abah Okoriko, has rejected the outcome of the primary election, alleging that the process was affected by irregularities.
