Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has issued a strong warning to his former political mentor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, cautioning him against making further remarks about him.
In a viral video circulating online, Governor Yusuf warned that if the former governor continued speaking carelessly about him, he would “open a Pandora’s box.”
Governor Yusuf also questioned why a 69-year-old man would repeatedly refer to a 63-year-old as “a boy,” describing the comments as unacceptable.

Observers believe the remarks were directed at Kwankwaso, who has reportedly continued to describe Governor Yusuf in such terms.
Since defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Yusuf had largely avoided publicly criticising Kwankwaso and had repeatedly urged supporters to refrain from attacks on social media.
However, the latest comments are being interpreted by many political observers as a sign of escalating political tension in Kano, particularly between the governor and his former political ally.
