Former vice president and now African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has challenged President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.
Abubakar while speaking implied that Tinubu would lose the 2027 election. He also told the president to pack his things from the presidential Villa and return to his base in Lagos.
Atiku made these remarks while addressing journalists following his emergence as the ADC’s presidential flag bearer in Abuja.

He said, “President Tinubu should better pack and go back to Lagos.
“I congratulate my fellow contestants for this ticket to represent our great party in the elections scheduled for early next year.
“I know that you are driven by your patriotism and commitment to a better Nigeria and improved life for our people.”
The ADC presidential flag bearer further warned the Presidency against interfering in the party’s affairs.
He warned that any attempt to interfere in ADC’s affair by the presidency, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and the judiciary would be resisted.
Recall that the former Vice President defeated ex-Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and Mohammed Hayatu-Deen during the ADC’s presidential primary election.

According to reports, he defeated Amaechi and Hayatu-Deen with 1,846, 370 votes in the just-concluded ADC’s primary election.
