Controversial singer and rapper Speed Darlington has opened up about his struggles with being unmarried, expressing concern over still being single in his 50s.
The Akpi crooner lamented that despite nearing 60, he has neither a wife nor children, admitting he desires more fulfillment in life beyond his achievements.
In a recent video broadcast, Speed Darlington said he believes that at his age, he should already be settled with a family.
“I am close to 60 with no wife or child. Is this how I am going to live my life? All I have to show is American papers. I want more than American papers out of life.
“I want family, freedom and respect,” he said.
Recall that a few years ago, the singer publicly announced that he was searching for a wife, listing his preferred qualities.
He had stated that his ideal partner must be dark-skinned, aged between 18 and 23, at least 5’8” tall, weigh under 150 pounds, and be fluent in both English and Igbo.
Years after making the public appeal, the rapper is yet to find a life partner.
