Nigeria Targets 15 Terrorism Funders, Mulls Sanctions
Nigeria just identified 15 people and businesses suspected of funding terrorism. This includes 9 people and 6 money exchange operators.
The Nigerian government says these people and businesses are tied to terrorist groups like ISWAP and Boko Haram. Some are accused of things like bomb-making, planning attacks, and moving money for terror groups.

- Tukur Mamu, a publisher from Kaduna, is accused of helping deliver ransom money to free hostages kidnapped in a train attack.
- One person is suspected of carrying out attacks on a church and a prison.
- Another person is a bomb-maker and recruiter for a terror group linked to al-Qaeda. He escaped from prison in July 2022.
- A leader of the Islamic State in West Africa Province is also on the list.
- Several people are accused of being financial couriers, moving money to terrorists or their families.
